      MTN Business Prepaid is a price plan created for small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) in both the formal and informal sectors that are not VAT registered or don’t meet credit requirements.

      This plan offers your business affordable Made for Skhokho voice and data bundles, including:

      private networks is exclusive capacity, as there is no competition for space from other network users. MTN Business 5G Private Networks enable the acceleration of digital transformation and the adoption of advanced applications to transform industries.

      • All-Net and On-Net minutes

      • Anytime and Night Express data

      • Business data

      • Social data

      The value of the bundles varies depending on the bundle size. To get started, you will have to get an MTN Business Prepaid SIM from an MTN Store or Online or migrate your current Prepaid SIM.

    • Who is eligible for Business Prepaid? Hide

      This plan is the perfect option for businesses that:

      • Prefer Prepaid as a payment option and don’t want to be credit vetted.

      • Are not VAT registered or don’t meet credit requirements.

      • Have existing Business accounts that are out of contract, and would prefer a Prepaid payment option, provided that the account is not outstanding.

      • Do not use PEP-group SIM cards, as these can’t be migrated.

    • What documents are required? Hide

      To qualify for Business Prepaid, you’ll need to provide proof of identity such as an ID, passport, or asylum document.

      In addition, you’ll also have to provide one document as proof of business, which can be either of these:

      • Business registration document

      • Business permit

      • Trading receipt

      • Business affiliation memberships

      • Business invoice

      • Taxi association permit

      • VAT registration document

      • Business account confirmation letter from a bank

      • Affidavit

    • How to activate a Business Prepaid plan? Hide

      You need to RICA your SIM card, then register your Prepaid SIM and you’ll have to activate your SIM card manually.

      You can also use the Self-RICA option on the MTN App or at any MTN Store

      To activate your registered SIM:

      Put your new SIM card into your device and SMS your MTN Business reference number and ID/passport number to 30372 The SMS is free to send.

      Each employee will need to activate their own SIM card (Plan).

      You’ll receive a confirmation SMS once your SIM card is active on the Business Prepaid plan.

      Note: After you’ve activated your SIM card, you must use it within 30 days, or it will be deactivated.

  • How to get started on MTN Business Prepaid? Hide

    • Buy an MTN Business Prepaid Stater pack, RICA, Register and activate the SIM card.

    • Buy, RICA, and activate an MTN PayAsYouGo starter pack then migrate to MTN Business Prepaid.

    • Migrate the MTN Prepaid plan that you’re already on to MTN Business Prepaid.

  • How to port to Business Prepaid? Hide

    You can keep and port your current cellphone number from any network to MTN Business Prepaid.

    Here’s how to port your number:

    1. Buy an MTN Business Prepaid Starter pack from any MTN Store or agent. Please do not open it yet.

    2. Whilst you’re in the store, RICA your new SIM card. You’ll need to have your identity document (ID) and proof of residence on hand.

    3. From your current number, SMS PortMe# plus the new MTN-SIM-number to 083 767 8287 (normal SMS rates apply).

    *Your MTN-SIM-number is the 10-digit number fund on your sim card.

    4. You’ll get an SMS confirming whether your request to port to the MTN network was authorized or declined.

    5. If authorized, remove your current operator SIM card from your phone the next day and insert your new MTN SIM card into your phone.

    6. If your application is declined, you need to contact your current network provider.

    7. To activate your SIM, SMS your MTN Business reference number and ID/passport number to 30372.

  • What services are available on Business Prepaid? Hide

    Streamline and simplify how your company connects with Business Prepaid services.

    As the business owner, you’ll be able to:

    • Order bulk Business Prepaid SIM cards for your staff. The minimum quantity per order is 20 SIM cards and the maximum is 1 000 SIM cards.

    • Register your staff in bulk for Business Prepaid. You'll need to register a minimum of 2 employees.

    • Buy bundles and airtime for all your employees in bulk. To use this feature, you’ll need to purchase bundles for a minimum of 2 employees.
